Departments and Faculties

Computer Science Department:

The department is running M.Sc. (Computer Science), B.Sc. (Computer Science) and BCA with an intake of 40 students in each course. Four computer Labs are working with all modern amenities. Four Assistant/Associate Professors and four extension lecturers are working in the department. 

Commerce and Management Department:

The department is running M.Com., B.Com. and B.B.A. with an intake of 40, 240 and 40 students in each course. Two Assistant/Associate Professors and eleven extension lecturers are working in the department. 

Mathematics Department:

The department is running M.Sc. (Mathematics), B.Sc. (Computer Science) and B.Sc. (Non Med.) with an intake of 40, 40 and 360 students in each course. Two Assistant/Associate Professors and Eight extension lecturers are working in the department. Mathematics Society is also working in the college.

Hindi Department:

The department is running M.A.(Hindi) and B.A with an intake of 40 and 660 students in each course. Three Assistant/Associate Professors and two extension lecturers are working in the department.

English Department:

The department is running M.A.(English) and B.A with an intake of 40 and 660 students in each course.  Two Assistant/Associate Professors and six extension lecturers are working in the department. In addition to that English language and literature is being taught in BCA, BSc (Medical & Non Med.) as well as in BSc (Computer Science). One language lab is also functioning. There is a English Literary Society in the department.

Physics Department:

The department is running and B.Sc. (Non:Med.) with an intake of 320 students. Six extension lecturers are working in the department. 

Chemistry Department :

The department is running M.Sc. (Chemistry), B.Sc. (Med.) and B.Sc. (Non Med.) with an intake of 40, 160 and 320 students in each course. One Assistant Professor and fourteen extension lecturers are working in the department. 

Zoology Department:

The department is running M.Sc. (Zoology) and B.Sc. (Med.) with an intake of 20 and 160 students in each course. Two Assistant/Associate Professors and three extension lecturers are working in the department. 

Botany Department:

The department is running M.Sc. (Botany) and B.Sc. (Med.) with an intake of 20 and 160 students in each course. One Associate professor (On Deputation for 3 days) and four extension lecturers are working in the department. Botany Society working.

Geology Department:

The department is running M.Sc. (Geology) and B.Sc. with geology with an intake of 10 and 80 students in each course. Five regular Assistant/Associate Professors and one extension lecturer are working in the department. 

Political Science:

The department is running B.A. with Political Science with an intake of 660 seats. One Associate Professors and one extension lecturer are working in the department. 

Economics:

The department is running B.A. with Economics with an intake of 660 seats. Two extension lecturers are working in the department. Both the extension lecturers have been taking classes in B.Com and M.Com as well.

Sociology:

The department is running B.A. with Sociology with an intake of 660 seats. One Assistant Professor is working in the department. The subject is very important to understand the current pattern of social relations and social problems for effective policy making and gaining deep knowledge about society.  

Geography Department:

The department is running M.Sc. (Geography), B.A with Geography with an intake of 40 and 660 respectively. Five regular Assistant/Associate Professors and seven extension lecturers are working in the department. Two labs are functioning with modern equipments and tools. 

Defence Studies:

The department is running B.A. with Defence Studies with an intake of 660 seats. One extension lecturer is working in the department.

Sanskrit Department:

The department is running B.A with Sanskrit with an intake of 660 seats. One extension lecturer is working in the department.

History Department:

The department is running B.A with History with an intake of 660 seats. One Associate Professor and One extension lecturer is working in the department.
